The International Association of Blacks in Dance, Inc. (IABD) is a service organization that preserves and promotes dance by people of African ancestry or origin. IABD develops and increases opportunities for artists, arts administrators and arts organizations through advocacy, audience development, education, funding, dialogue, membership programs, performance, touring, training and workshops. The organization hosts and produces the largest convening of the Black dance community in the United States during its annual international Conference and Festival.
